The REACT Dynamic Assessment Project advances approaches to assessment that recognize language, literacy, culture, and learning as interconnected dimensions of how we understand learners. Grounded in dynamic assessment, the project examines not only what learners demonstrate independently, but also how they respond to mediation and support. By attending to these responses, REACT seeks to expand what assessment can reveal about learners’ strengths, learning processes, and potential—and how that information can inform more equitable educational and clinical decision-making.
