Concept Introduction:

What are materials that I can use to help me draft a Dynamic Assessment plan?

  • We have found templates to be very helpful for planning a dynamic assessment!
  • A template to be used within one session directly after giving a subtest of a standardized assessment may look a little different from a planned test-teach-retest unit over a couple of teaching sessions.
  • A template for one session after giving a subtest could include the following: (a) set-up, (b) re-trial, (c) engage meta-thinking, and (d) scaffold further.
  • A template for a planned test-teach-retest includes those components, but allows you to go into more detail with your plan for pretest probe, teaching components, posttest probe, and modifiability scale.
